We have felt for some years our name doesn't reflect the heart of what we do,
so its time to change the name.
We will soon be operating under the name
Walking with trees.

Everything we do remains the same, its just the name that changes. The new web site will be launched soon and all traffic to this site will be redirected. We are looking forward to many great days in the woods with amazing people, happy 2026.

Our amazing course designed to help you re connect with trees.

This is the track to our bush camp, in this picture there our 8 different species of trees. On this course we will show you how to identify them, explore their folklore and uses. Each session includes learning a tree related craft skill. Over the course we will help you learn over 40 species of trees commonly found in the UK. Details here on the website.

Starting in January, our fully immersive course all about the trees you are most likely to encounter in the UK. Identification, craft skills, folklore, medicinal uses, and time in a beautiful bluebell woodland with like minded folk.

Our tree course involves a day a month for 6 months, you will see the woodland go from winter dormant to the full lushness of summer. We will enable you to become confidant in identification of over 40 species of trees. You will learn tree based craft skills, one of which dates back to the Neanderthals. We had to cancel this course in early October due to very strong winds, new dates are 25th and 26th October. A 2 day course looking at fire , sharp tool use, shelter and water. We have spaces if you want to gain some very cool skills. No experience necessary and we supply all the equipment you need. Get in touch here for more details.

We still have a couple of places on our wilderness living skills course. This course is designed to give you time to get to grips with fire lighting and management. How to ensure your safety when using knives axes and saws. Sunday April 13th, a relaxed day in the woods looking at the plants, how to identify and their uses. An introduction to an array of species.

The course covers Fire, Water, Shelter and using sharp tools. The 3 days gives you time to learn and practice these key skills. With 2 nights in the woods you can try 2 different shelter systems from basic debris shelter to modern tarps, tents and hammocks. Book before 1st Dec at this years rate.

Spaces on the course are filling up, if you book before the 1st of December the price remains at this years rate. This course will change the way you see the trees around you, you will be able to identify them and understand the role they played in our past. You will also learn some great craft skills related to the trees. No prior knowledge is needed just an enthusiasm to learn about trees.

Our bluebell woods look great in the spring but we operate all year round. We are looking forward to several days booked in October with a variety of groups. We are very humbled to win this cup at this years show. We are all about educating and inspiring others, so to win the East Devon college cup for most educational stand was amazing.
