overnight BUSHCRAFT COURSE

This course includes the experience of an overnight stay in the woods. It can be a 24 hour experience or run for 2 days.
On this course you have the time to progress in the skills you learn. There is time for you to quietly work away with the benefit of an instructor on hand to help. The overnight shelter will be a tarp or tent, you bring your sleeping bag and mat. It is designed to give you the chance to try the basics of bushcraft and learn some new skills in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Our aim is that at the end of the course you will see wild places in a completely new way, be amazed at the world we live in, have learnt new skills and most importantly had a lot of fun. |

On this course we can tackle any of the following areas.
Fire, managing a fire, lighting a fire, the different ways of igniting a fire.
Water, collection and making safe.
Shelter, using natural materials and man made systems.
Sharp tools, safety, how to use, sharpening.
Trees, identification, uses, harvesting.
Plants, identification and uses.
Animals, signs and tracks.
Archery.
Exploring the woodland environment, taking time to enjoy being in a wild place.

These days are about you having a go at the skills of bushcraft with no pressure. We want you to enjoy being out in the woods learning and developing, working at your pace with plenty of time for one to one help. That is why we limit our group size, as we want you to have the space and time with an instructor to gain a new skill. We are able to run bushcraft courses either at a woodland in Devon or a woodland in Somerset.
On this course there will be set times for instruction for the group. The instructor will always be on hand outside these times for one to one help as you practice the things you have learnt. Some time will be dedicated to the task of running the camp, cooking, cleaning up and keeping things organised. All part of learning the skill of camp craft. Hot drinks are provided and are available throughout the day. |
The 24 hour experience will run from 09.30 hrs. on the first day to 10.00 hrs. the following day unless otherwise agreed.
Then two day overnight course runs from 09.30 hrs. day 1 to 15.00 hrs. day 2.
An overnight course will run as long as the minimum of 4 people are booked.
We are very flexible about the content and shape of the course. If you wish to work with us we can put together a course that will be ideal for you. Please contact us to create the best course for you.
For the 24 hour experience the cost per person is £110. A deposit of £30 per person is required to make a booking and full payment should be made before the course commences.
The two day course costs £150 per person, and a £30 deposit.
