The dry strips are now ready to be used to make cordage, these fibers twist really well and produce a good strong cord.
Last week the bark I left in a stream was finally ready for me to remove all the layers of fiber. As it comes out of the stream it is slimy and smelly , I then gently peeled the layers apart collecting a good amount of long strips of fibers. Once this was done I rinsed them off in the stream and took home to dry.
The dry strips are now ready to be used to make cordage, these fibers twist really well and produce a good strong cord.
